Hydraulic Nuts Applications

Hydraulic nuts securely fasten rotating arbors and static bolts in a wide variety of mill applications. They are used in slitter, sidetrimmer, circular saw blade, roll forming, straightening, shear blade, mold section retention, bearing and tie-rod lock-up, pinion and leveler stand pretension applications. When slippage is not permitted, Hydraulic nuts are an ideal solution.

Hydraulic nuts are screwed onto the arbor threads into operating position, hand tightened, and activated using either a grease or oil type "Hand Energizing Pump". Tooling is positively clamped with accurate tooling clearances being maintained. Nut sizes range from 1 to 26 inch diameter, or larger as required. Hydraulic Nuts are custom threaded to suit any international standard specification.

ASKO provides hydraulic nuts in a variety of configurations, including thrust ring models for reliable clamping, thrust collar type for controlled pretensioning, alloyed aluminum nut bodies for weight reduction up to 60% versus steel, and nickel plated or stainless bodies for corrosion resistance.
